- You must have a teaching license to be eligible for this program. For endorsement in any other state, please consult your credentialing agency for reciprocity.
- Eastern New Mexico University has the second lowest bachelor's and master's-level tuition in the state of New Mexico, and has one of the most affordable graduate tuition rates in the United States. If you are an out-of-state student enrolling in 6 or fewer hours per semester, you'll pay tuition and fees at the low in-state rate.
- This program is designed for practicing teachers wishing to pursue a master's degree, as well as a bilingual endorsement. This degree may be obtained with or without a thesis.
- Thesis option: You must complete 9 hours of Curriculum and Instruction Core Requirements, 6 hours of emphasis area coursework, 15 hours of electives and 6 hours of Master's Thesis.
- Non-thesis option: You must complete 9 hours of Curriculum and Instruction Core Requirements and 27 hours of emphasis area coursework and comprehensive exams.

General requirements
- Application for Admission.
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.00. If your grade point averages between 2.75 and 2.99, you will be considered for "conditional" admission; if accepted, you must earn a minimum GPA of 3.00 with no grade less than a "B" during your first semester or the first 9 hours.
- Letter of Application. You must submit a letter of application to the graduate coordinator. The letter should specify your intended area of emphasis and how an advanced degree in education would advance your career.
- Proof of Licensure. A photocopy of your teaching license or confirmation of admission into a regular or alternative licensure program must be submitted to the graduate coordinator.
