Genetics from Clemson University is open to students with baccalaureate degrees in agricultural, biological, or physical sciences or engineering. Entering students must have satisfactory academic records in mathematical, physical and biological sciences.

The overall mission of the Department of Genetics and Biochemistry is to train students, advance the body of genetics knowledge through original research and scholarship, and disseminate that knowledge to our students and the scientific community.
For the genetics M.S. program, the faculty will utilize their research and teaching expertise to prepare students for future careers in research, academia and industry. There is both a thesis and non-thesis path for students to pursue.
