On the cutting-edge of advanced practice, neonatal nurse practitioners (NNPs) provide care through age two in a variety of settings from newborn to acute care.

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) program at University of Virginia offers BSN-prepared nurses with at least two years of NICU experience the opportunity to advance their practice. The NNP program is offered as a master's degree, a certificate, and as a specialty track within the BSN-to-DNP pathway.
