To earn the degree, students must complete a total of 30 credit hours, which include core courses, concentration-specific courses, and a project or thesis. The programme tracks include:

- An earned baccalaureate degree in computer science, information technology or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 2.5 GPA of undergraduate study from an accredited college or university
