Education- Personalized Professional Pathways is offered by University of Saint Joseph. The Master of Arts in Education with a Personalized Professional Pathways Concentration (MAPPP) provides educators with an opportunity to develop a personalized master’s degree program that reflect their individual goals for professional development in the context of increasingly complex classrooms.

Key Facts

Students will develop individualized plans of graduate study that may encompass strategies for engaging students through technology and the arts as well as instructional strategies to support neurodiverse and English learners. Through customized learning pathways, educators can shape their graduate studies to meet their objectives, help improve successful learning outcomes for their students. Building on the proven strengths of a cohort model, MAPPP students will begin and end their graduate studies together in four core courses that are designed to help shape their learning objectives, define a professional pathway, explore relevant research, create a portfolio, or project that documents their learning pathway, their findings and conclusions, and implications for practice. Students in this program will meet with an advisor to articulate personalized professional goals and map an additional six courses. The format for these six courses may be a fully online or hybrid format. Eight-week courses include classes that meet in real time (synchronous), as well as provide offline (asynchronous) learning experiences within the four-hour class period. Synchronous class sessions meet from 4:45 PM – 8:45 PM on the same night of the week. The duration of the program is approximately two years.
