Curriculum and Instruction- Special Education 1-5 is offered by McNeese State University. The Curriculum and Instruction, Special Education Mild/Moderate for Elementary Education Grades 1-5 Concentration, MEd program does not accept applicants on a conditional basis.

Key Facts

At least one-half of the total number of credit hours required for a graduate degree, excluding credit for thesis, must be at the 600 level.
Credits applied must be earned within 6 calendar years from the time the student first enrolled in the program.
No grade below C and not more than 6 credit hours of C work can be applied toward the degree.
Only transfer credits with a grade of B or better may be applied toward the degree.

General requirements

Pay a nonrefundable $30 application fee after you receive notification that your application has been processed.

Have your transcripts and/or diplomas sent to McNeese directly from all universities or colleges previously attended. The Office of International Programs will calculate your GPA.

Evidence of a valid teaching certificate; and

One of the following:

Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 at the time of baccalaureate degree conferral; or
Minimum undergraduate GPA between 2.7 and 2.99 at the time of baccalaureate degree conferral and a minimum Graduate Record Exam (GRE) score of 304 (Verbal + Quantitative).

Have your GRE or GMAT scores sent to McNeese directly from the testing agency.

Email a copy of your passport to the Office of International Programs: internationaloffice@mcneese.edu.

Submit a signed affidavit and bank letter from your sponsor.
