Overview

The Community Counseling degree at Rogers State University prepares you to work with individuals, families, and entire communities to address issues like addiction, trauma, poverty, and mental health.

You’ll build a strong foundation in counseling theory and practice through courses like Trauma Informed Therapy and Addictions and Family Systems Counseling.

You’ll also complete practicum and internship experiences with real clients, preparing you to sit for the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and the Oklahoma Legal and Ethical Responsibilities Exam (OLERE).

Provide official transcripts from all institutionally accredited undergraduate and graduate institutions previously attended.

Must complete the program in 5 years.

No C’s will be accepted

Students may request that a maximum of six applicable graduate credit hours, earned at any institutionally accredited institution, be applied toward an MSCC at Rogers State University. Only grades of “B” or better will be considered for transfer credit. Graduate work earned more than five years.

Coursework applied to a previous graduate degree will not be applied.

Students must be in good standing.
