Our students are prepared to take on leadership and problem-solving roles—within government, nonprofits, private sector, and advocacy organizations—that will develop and administer public policies for the 21st century.

Our program, now offered fully online, is designed with working professionals in mind. You can enroll either full-time or part-time, and online classes allow you to access faculty and coursework from any convenient location. In addition, York College offers our MPPA program as a 4+1 degree, allowing undergraduate students in any major to obtain both their Bachelor's and Master's Degree in 5 years.

The Master of Public Policy and Administration program at York College of Pennsylvania is designed to provide students with a public service education and train them for leadership and problem-solving roles. By educating students on the methods, techniques, and strategies within public policy and public administration studies, York College MPPA students will better understand the policy challenges and administrative problems facing their organizations or communities, and be able to develop appropriate and applicable solutions in response.

The program offers concentrations in Urban Planning, Nonprofit Leadership, and Local Government for students with a particular interest in those topics.

At York College’s Master of Public Policy and Administration program, we are here to get to know you, your interests and goals, and personalize the program to ensure that you have the graduate school experience that you desire and deserve.

We are currently accepting applications for the MPPA Scholar-in-Residence program. This program offers to a qualified student a two-year research residency with the Arthur J. Glatfelter Institute for Public Policy. The successful candidate will be provided with full tuition remission for the MPPA program, a rent-free unfurnished apartment, a monthly stipend of $800, and shared workspace.
