About the programme

The mission of the Urban Education program at Langston University is to improve teaching and learning in a diverse, rapidly changing, and increasingly technological society by preparing and supporting candidates in constructing knowledge, increasing capabilities, and developing sensitivity and responsiveness to the needs of children, families, and communities in urban centers and rural environments.

It is our commitment to preparing highly competent educational practitioners that can address the special problems that they may encounter in urban experiences at the community, state, and national levels.
