Overview

The department of Anesthesia at Indiana University Indianapolis provides the setting for a superb anesthesiology training experience. For residents and fellows interested in pursuing an academic career, the department offers research opportunities with established investigators in both basic and clinical science. Research efforts are expanding the boundaries of medical knowledge and department faculty members regularly contribute work to medical journals in basic science, clinical anesthesiology, surgery and critical care.

We seek physicians who are motivated and compassionate with an overall sense of team. I find that our residents are one of the greatest assets of our department in that they work collaboratively and have created a unique camaraderie that truly enhances your ability to learn in a very supportive environment. Our faculty are just as invested as you are in your future success and the fellowship across the faculty and residents in clearly evident.
