Human-Computer Interaction and User Experience at Drexel University

prepares students to create and evaluate technologies that support and complement human needs and abilities in a broad range of contexts such as work, wellness, home, entertainment, and artistic expression. The HCI/UX major is part of the Master of Science in Information (MSI) program, which prepares students for a range of careers related to user experience research, interface design, and software development.

The HCI/UX major is part of the Master of Science in Information (MSI) degree program, which prepares students to be leaders in information- and data-oriented professional careers. In addition to fellow MSI students, HCI/UX majors have opportunities to interact with graduate students in degrees like health informatics and data science as well as PhD students working on cutting edge human-computer interaction research problems.

Programme Structure

In this major, students will learn not only the tools and techniques of the HCI/UX design trade, but also to analyze and understand the social implications of design interventions for individuals, groups, and society at large.
Students in the HCI/UX graduate program major will learn qualitative and quantitative user research methods, user-experience design techniques and tools, and standards for design documentation, evaluation, and reporting.
