Overview
The JD-MBA Joint Degree at Villanova University is a rigorous dual-enrolment programme delivered through the Charles Widger School of Law and the Villanova School of Business. This collaborative curriculum is designed to produce ethical leaders who possess a deep understanding of both legal frameworks and corporate governance. By integrating these two disciplines, the programme provides a distinct competitive advantage for those seeking to navigate the complexities of the global marketplace.
Students benefit from a streamlined structure that allows for the completion of both degrees in just three years, ensuring they remain on track for their professional goals. The first year focuses exclusively on the demanding law curriculum, with business coursework commencing in the summer following the initial year.
Why JD-MBA Joint Degree at Villanova University?
This programme is distinguished by its accelerated three-year timeline, which is faster than many comparable joint degrees in the region. Students gain access to the extensive networks of two prestigious schools, benefiting from the expertise of teacher-scholars in both law and business. The curriculum is specifically tailored to bridge the gap between legal practice and commercial strategy, preparing graduates for high-level leadership roles.
The institution provides financial support for joint degree candidates through a specific subsidy applied during the second and third years of study. Furthermore, the programme is named in honour of Reza Taleghani, a successful alumnus and executive, reflecting the strong connection between the university and industry leaders. Students also have the flexibility to graduate from the law school even if they require additional time to finalise their business requirements.
