About the Program

The Biology program at Wake Forest University allows students to pursue advanced academic coursework and build a comprehensive research thesis under the mentorship of the graduate faculty. The Biology Department is proud to offer M.S. students full tuition remission and competitive stipend support for two full years of study.

Programme Structure

  • M.S. students are required to fulfill 30 hours of coursework. Of that, 24 hours must be from classes (minimum of 12 hours from graduate-only, 700-level courses), and the remainder may be thesis research hours. Choices of coursework should be made in consultation with the Graduate Advisor and the Advisory Committee.
