- Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner:(Online program*) Graduates of the Nurse Practitioner program from Florida International University are prepared to care for adolescents, adults and the elderly with an emphasis on disease prevention, health promotion and the management of patients with acute and chronic multi-system health problems.
- Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner: (Online program*) Graduates are prepared as pediatric primary care specialists to diagnose, treat and deliver care for newborns, children and young adults, including well-child care and prevention/management of common pediatric acute illnesses and chronic conditions.
- Dual MSN Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner + Nurse Educator Certificate: (Online program*) Graduates are prepared to care for adolescents, adults and the elderly with an emphasis on disease prevention, health promotion and the management of patients with acute and chronic multi-system health problems. By dually earning a Nursing Educator Certificate graduates will also be prepared to function in a variety of educational settings including schools of nursing and health care facilities. They are qualified to sit for the Nurse Practitioner national certification exam in their specialty and the NLN National Nurse Educator Certification.

General requirements
- Cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or greater on a 4.0 scale (GPA calculation inclusive of all academic coursework including courses at the community college level).
- UG 60 GPA of 3.0 or greater in Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) upper division coursework.
- Current State of Florida RN license. Out-of-state students must obtain a license to practice in Florida prior to admission.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from a program accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Applicants from programs without such accreditation will be considered on an individual basis.
