About Finance at The University of Iowa

Our Master of Finance courses are taught by the same faculty that earned us a #1 ranking from the Financial Times. Whether you studied finance in undergrad, or come from another major, you’ll learn bold new ways to approach the toughest business challenges.

Consult for Fortune 500 companies. Make investment decisions for a $23 million equity fund. Here, you can do it all. Learn to manage real investments in the Henry Fund. Or work on the Hart Fund, one of the only fixed-income funds managed by master’s students.

A Master’s in Finance credential stands out in a sea of standard-issue resumes, and our dedicated career services team will connect you with a professional network. You'll build soft skills like leadership, communication, and emotional IQ, then hit the ground running in a career you'll love.

Graduating with a master's degree in finance means you'll be entering the finance workplace at a time when specialization commands a premium that an undergraduate degree alone can't match. A recent survey of corporate recruiters shows one third of all companies and half of all Fortune Global 100 recruiters plan to hire Master of Finance grads.
