This unique Berkeley Haas Global Access Programme from University of California, Berkeley provides access to Berkeley Haas' top-notch faculty, courses and networks within the innovative ecosystem of the Bay Area and Silicon Valley. Through the Berkeley Haas Global Access Programme (BHGAP), top-qualifying international students from both business and non-business backgrounds gain the knowledge, skills and connections necessary to excel as tomorrow's innovators and global leaders.

Key Facts

OPT is a temporary, 12-month work authorization in the United States, permitting you to stay an additional 12 months after your academic programme ends to complete paid work. If you decide on this combined educational and work experience option, you should expect to be in the U.S. for approximately two years in total.

OPT allows you to see how a U.S. business runs, build a professional network and gain paid work experience in the U.S. that you can add to your C.V. or résumé. Combined with your studies at UC Berkeley, OPT can give you a competitive edge as you enter the workforce, advance in your career or apply to graduate school.

Funding

The Berkeley Haas Global Access Program is excited to announce scholarship opportunities, of up to $5,000 each, to be applied toward the program cost of $21,900 per semester.

You must apply to the program and the scholarship at the same time. No exceptions.

Note: Students who are financially sponsored by their university are not eligible to apply for a scholarship.
