Throughout the Music Education - Performance MA program from the Liberty University you will examine the purpose of school music programs, as well as gain a better understanding of music learners. Our courses focus on pedagogy, so you can develop specific teaching skills for a variety of student learning styles.

Within the performance concentration, you will get to experience performance firsthand through graduate ensemble courses. You will prepare for and perform at various campus and area events. Additionally, your courses will dive deeper into teaching music students of all ages in class and private lesson settings. In this way, you will better understand how to help your future students develop effective performance techniques, as well as diminish performance anxiety.

Completion of an earned baccalaureate degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in one of the following areas: bachelor’s degree in music, music education, or music and worship
