- All major scales- ascending and descending
- Chromatic scale for the playing range of instrument
- Two excerpts/etudes of contrasting style of your choice
Requirements for Percussion Students
Mallets: Xylophone, Vibraphone and Marimba will be provided
- All major scales and arpeggios- ascending and descending
- One excerpt/etude using two mallets of your choice
- One excerpt/etude using four mallets of your choice
Snare Drum: Snare Drum will be provided upon request
- One etude of your choice
Timpani: Timpani will be provided
- Two excepts/etudes of contrasting style
