With available concentrations in Online Teaching and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Education, this program offers high demand, online opportunities to advance your teaching career.The Online Teaching concentration is designed for educators interested in learning the foundational tools and pedagogy for blended and online environments. With the explosion of online and blended instructional opportunities for students and teachers locally and nationally, this program helps prepare graduates to design and facilitate online classes. This program is connected to International Association for K-12 Online Learning and Pennsylvania Department of Education standards for online teaching.The STEM Education concentration is designed for educators interested in developing their knowledge and experience with integrated STEM Education. Through a multidisciplinary approach, this program helps prepare graduates to integrate modern science, technology, engineering and mathematics into the classroom. The credits achieved through this program meet ACT 48 requirements.Graduates of this program receive a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Assessment, Curriculum and Teaching. Millersville University is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and approved by the American Association of University Women.

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 2.8

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.8 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
