The Master of Divinity at Westminster Theological Seminary is our flagship degree, carefully constructed to prepare you for a rich and fruitful life in ministry or scholarship. You will learn the full breadth of our theological distinctives and benefit from the personal discipleship of our faculty. You can choose to concentrate in pastoral, counseling, or general studies.

A biblical understanding of wisdom forbids separating knowing from doing, learning from practice, since wisdom unites knowledge, character, and skill.

Wisdom results from academic learning and practical experience when accompanied by supervision and self-examination. Candidates for the MDiv degree are therefore required to participate in mentored field experience in ministry. All arrangements for Mentored Ministry requirements are handled through the Student Development Office. This program targets key areas of ministry to put into practice the distinctive curriculum from the classroom.
