Overview
Theology from St. John’s Seminary has a thesis program in which the student researches, writes, presents and defends an original work or a non-thesis program in which the individual will take comprehensive exams with focus in a given subject.
Graduates with Theology from St. John’s Seminary will be able to demonstrate:
- familiarity with the historical body of Catholic theology and tradition
- specific competency in one of the following areas: Biblical Studies, Church History, Moral Theology, Spiritual Theology, or Systematic Theology
- the ability to reflect theologically on various issues;
- the scholarly skills essential for further studies in the theological disciplines;
- the ability to research and to write in a clear, coherent, and competent way.
