Overview
Combining a strong foundation in the sciences, theories and concepts of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, the graduate program at St. Mary’s University teaches students to develop and use methods for employee selection, conduct analyses to identify organizational hiring needs, creatively facilitate cultural change, and maximize both workplace efficiency and quality of work life.
First-year students are paired with an alumni mentor to enhance their professional development and experience. In all required courses, students are assigned applied projects (often with their external partners) that enable them to use the scientific knowledge learned in class.
Key Features

Built into course work, students complete a 225-hour practicum in which they apply the skills they have developed at a placement site based on their interests.
