The heart of your experience at JHU will be Graduate Filmmaking Studio I and II, a two-semester, hands-on course where original, meaningful, and compelling movies are born. You’ll develop your own film projects with help from your classmates, screen movies for the Maryland Film Festival, learn how to build and reach an audience, and explore diverse ways to build a sustainable creative career.

You must hold a bachelor’s degree prior to enrolling in any of our Advanced Academic Programs.
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited US college or university. Applicants who received their bachelor’s degree in a country outside of the United States are required to provide a course-by-course credential evaluation and TOEFL or IELTS scores, if English is not their first language.
