The Literacy Education Department at Manhattanville College is the editorial team of the New York State Reading Association's annual journal, The Language and Literacy Spectrum. The New York State Reading Association is an affiliate of the International Reading Association. The mission of the New York State Reading Association parallels Manhattanville College's and the Literacy Department's to promote a literate, democratic society valuing lifelong learning for its diverse cultures.
