    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00.   • Results of the Writing Skills Assessment (WSA). Students who are required to show Proof of English Proficiency for general UW Tacoma admission are allowed to submit the TOEFL or IELTS in lieu of WSA scores.
