Jacksonville University offers a joint-degree program in which qualified students may obtain both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree. This innovative program allows substantial cross crediting of coursework.

Overview

This joint program is designed for nurses interested in executive-level management careers. Jacksonville University’s program offers broad exposure to advanced-level nursing knowledge in managing and planning health care services. Students enrolled in the joint MBA/MSN program complete graduate level core courses in business and nursing. Graduates are awarded a Master in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Nursing. Students who choose the joint MBA/MSN program will be required to complete courses in the Davis College of Business Graduate Program in addition to the MSN Administration curriculum for a total of 55 credit hours.

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) places the experienced professional at the leadingedge of graduate business education. You’ll gain profound and immeasurable knowledge in topics you will need. Faculty members are highly skilled teacher/scholars who make you their highest priority by bringing their expertise into the classroom in practical, hands-on ways. They have created and founded companies, traveled extensively and trained at some of the world’s best schools. The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) prepares students for leadership roles in nursing. The goal of the MSN program is to educate nurses who can synthesize knowledge and demonstrate behaviors of advanced preparation. Each graduate will demonstrate critical thinking and decision-making skills in evaluating health and illness in selected populations. Graduates will operationalize a conceptual framework related to practice.

GRE admission requirements GRE® The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. It contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.
