Overview
We are very proud of our students' accomplishments and remain committed to structuring and offering a professional graduate business degree that provides them with a thorough understanding of the basic business essentials (economics, accounting, finance, management, and marketing) followed by an intensive study in one of four business concentrations (Accounting, General Management, Human Resource Management, and Supply Chain Management). Our program is offered both in-class and online. Our goal is to graduate students who are comfortable with technology and know-how to make an impact (e.g. facilitate decision-making, buy-in, and knowledge sharing), enable capabilities (e.g. helping others to do their jobs more effectively), and get business done efficiently using collaborative tools and platforms.
The College of Business and Economics has been accredited by AACSB International since 1979, and the Accounting program earned its AACSB International accreditation in 1986. In both cases, we were the first university in the Piedmont-Triad area of North Carolina to earn the prestigious AACSB International stamp of quality. The accreditation assures the quality of the faculty, the curricula, and the learning resources.
Our Business Administration program from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University has had a strong record of job placement. Above 90% of the Fall 2016 and Fall 2017 classes found appropriate jobs before commencement. A sample of our graduate’s placements is International Paper, Volvo Corporation, Shell Oil, Rubbermaid, John Deere, XPO Logistics, KPMG, Boeing and Amazon. Our students have also received acceptance to start the Ph.D. following graduation from some of the most competitive programs in the country.
