What Will I Learn?
This Master of Education program in Literacy at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania prepares you to help people of diverse ages and backgrounds to more effectively read and communicate. You'll benefit from a well-rounded program that involves a variety of experiences that will help you develop your teaching skills. Several courses are specific to K-8 literacy studies.
Field hours provide increased experience with children in an educational setting. Responsibilities include providing instruction using educational strategies and techniques, taking on leadership roles within the school environment and working with dedicated professionals in the field.
