The graduate program in Music Education offered by Rider University  is designed for licensed music educators who want to improve music teaching and student learning. It includes 12 “focus area” credits that may be used for Choral Emphasis, Kodály Emphasis with Certification, or General Emphasis. 


The Music Education program offered by Rider University culminates in the preparation of a thesis. The program can be completed part-time through online classes and summer study or over two academic years with some summer study.

The program is designed to meet the needs of music educators who are seeking to grow as musicians and 21st century educators. Westminster offers full-time and part-time enrollment options that include on-line study, private voice or conducting lessons, Kodály certification; summer workshops, institutes, and study abroad programs; and professional-level choral experiences taught by world-class faculty.
