Seton Hall invested $35 million into renovating McNulty Hall — home of the Biological Sciences department — for one clear reason: Seton Hall is a state-of-the-art research and teaching center, strongly committed to scientific discovery. The Microbiology program is offered by Seton Hall University.

Inside this innovative center, you’ll prepare for a career in academia or the biotechnology industry or to enter a Ph.D. program. Choose from a laboratory experience–based program (with research thesis) or a coursework-oriented degree (with library thesis). Evening and weekend classes are available to accommodate both full-time and part-time students.

The programme

The Microbiology degree offered by Seton Hall University trains students in basic research and teaching. Courses span biostatistics, molecular biology, immunology, microbiology and virology. For at least four semesters, every student must attend weekly seminars with guest speakers and opportunities to discuss research projects. In addition to classroom and seminar experiences, you’ll also find research training through programs maintained by our faculty and collaborative programs with local biotechnology, pharmaceutical and academic institutions.
