If you already hold a bachelor's degree in accounting from another institution, the additional specialized accounting course work will count toward the 150-hour requirement become licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Maryland and many other states. Students with bachelor’s degrees in other fields are eligible for the program but must complete additional preparatory course work.

GRE admission requirements GRE® The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. It contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.

General requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university.* 
  • An undergraduate GPA of at least 3.00 for full admission and at least 2.75 for conditional admission is required. Admission decisions are based upon your academic record from your undergraduate and post-baccalaureate study and the competitiveness of the applicant pool.
  • Admission to the program will be based on undergraduate academic performance and scores on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Both schools will use the same admission standards.
