Overview
The Religion and Society rigorous academic study of religion at Loma Linda University - a powerful force for both good and evil – intended for integration with an emerging or existing profession.
Religions are always the most powerful forces for good and evil. They frequently use their vast resources to help and heal; however, too often they are used to destroy and slaughter. Thousands suffer and die as the result in a seemingly endless cycle of bigotry and violence. This happens most painfully from a misunderstanding of how religions interact with their societies. This is why specialists are needed to integrate their professional skills with an advanced understanding of these complexities. This program is designed to equip talented and dedicated people to fill this need. Professors are specialists in various areas with this overall purpose in mind.
