A Registered Dietitian is a food and nutrition expert who has met the minimum academic and professional requirements for the credential "RD." Reference - AND (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics).

The M.S. degree for graduates of didactic programs in dietetics (DPD) from Loma Linda University is specifically designed for those who choose not to pursue a standard dietetic internship but who wish to complete a coordinated master's degree and supervised practice experience in order to establish eligibility to write the registration examination for dietitians and become a registered dietitian.
