The MA in Philosophy from The New School prepares graduates for academic and professional careers and for further study and research at the doctoral level.
Continuation to a PhD
In order to be admitted to the PhD program, students must:
- Complete 18 credits and have no incomplete coursework
- Achieve a minimum grade point average of 3.7 in their coursework
- Take and pass an oral examination in two or more of the required five topic areas designated
