About

    • Experiment with robotics and controls or nanomaterial characterization. You can be involved in kinematic design, aerospace design, or even delve into the finer aspects of noise control. Our goal is to help you turn your ideas and interests into real-life research. Our research, particularly in the areas of nanomaterials, energy systems, and fuels and combustion — as led by the von Ohain Fuels and Combustion Center — is enhanced by our relationship with the Air Force Research Laboratories. As an aerospace engineering graduate student at the University of Dayton, you have the remarkable opportunity to conduct research with this world leader in the development of aircraft and aerospace materials. The University of Dayton is the top university in Ohio — and ranks among the top universities in the nation — for federally funded aerospace research.

    • If you find that you want to focus your studies further, we offer concentrations in aerodynamics, aircraft propulsion, aircraft structures and flight vehicle dynamics.

    • Regardless of your area of interest, full- and part-time programs are available that enable you to work with faculty members who have gained international recognition for their research and are dedicated to your success. Our program offers convenient day and evening classes to accommodate your schedule.
