Overview
About this Degree
To this end, the school offers three MSW degree options: a 60 hour program for students with any bachelor's degree, a 36 hour advanced standing degree for students who have received a BSW degree from an accredited university within the last five years, and a 60 hour online program open to students with a bachelor's degree in any field.
Our Social Work MSW program from University of Oklahoma has been accredited by the Council on Social Work Education since 1952. We have a long tradition of great education. Come find your place as a Sooner Social Worker.
The part time MSW program can be completed in three or four years depending on what the student wishes. It is designed for students who need to work or have other commitments while going to school. In the part time program, the foundation coursework is the first two years. The third year begins the concentration curriculum. If the student chooses to complete the program in three years, the third year will look more like a full-time year. If the student chooses to complete the program in four years, the last two years will continue at the part-time pace.
The full time program is done in two years. The first year is the foundation curriculum and the second is the concentration curriculum. The full time program is very full time. It is designed for students who wish to make school their primary focus.
