Overview

In Case Western Reserve University’s one-year intensive Master of Arts in Medical Anthropology and Global Health program, you’ll immerse yourself in a variety of courses in just one academic year, delving into topics ranging from illegal drugs and society to health and healing in East Asia. You’ll also have the option to earn an interdisciplinary certificate in global health upon graduation in partnership with the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. What to Expect

As a student in our MA in Medical Anthropology and Global Health program, you and a small cohort of classmates will dive into topics such as contemporary anthropology theory, ethnographic and qualitative research, and HIV/AIDS. You'll learn from faculty who are experts in their fields. In fact, two of our faculty members were elected to the National Academy of Sciences—an honor bestowed on an elite selection of internationally renowned experts and scholars.
