Syracuse University has been a leader in nutrition education since 1917. With over a century of experience preparing food and nutrition professionals, our programs continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of the field—and the world.

At Falk College, nutrition students gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge facilities, including culinary labs, a fully equipped demonstration kitchen, and our Nutrition Assessment, Consultation, and Education (ACE) Center. These spaces support experiential learning in everything from clinical dietetics and counseling to food systems and culinary nutrition.

General requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a graduating GPA of 3.0 or higher, minimum score of 100 on the TOEFL (for international applications), undergraduate transcripts, three letters of recommendation, a resume and personal statement. GREs are not required.

Undergraduate research methods and/or programme evaluation training preferred, but not required. Upper division social science-based food studies coursework preferred, but not required. Students from broad inclusive fields of undergraduate study and work experience will be considered for admission.
