The Plant Pathology program from University of Arizona provides training in the microbial sciences through core and elective coursework and an in-depth research opportunity in molecular, genetic, genomic, or ecological aspects of microbes, including free-living and plant-associated fungi, bacteria, and viruses.

Students in the Crop Science program at Washington State University have the opportunity to gain leadership, communication, and instructional experience through the option of serving as teaching assistants for one or more courses within their discipline.
