Plan of Study

At the beginning of the graduate program, you and your major professor will create a plan that outlines the courses to be taken for your MSME degree. This initial plan must be documented on the departmental plan of study form and approved by your advisory committee. The completed plan of study form should be submitted to the graduate coordinator together with your major professor agreement by the start of your second semester in the program. You should review your plan of study every semester with your major professor. In case any changes should be required, you will need to get approval from your major professor and submit an updated plan of study to the graduate coordinator.

Regular Admission to the LSU Graduate School requires:

a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

a minimum 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) grade-point average (GPA) for all undergraduate work taken prior to receiving a degree and a minimum 3.0 GPA for all previous graduate work for which a grade is given
satisfactory academic standing at the last institution attended

acceptable scores on the Graduate Record Exam (GRE); and
