Acceptance of an applicant is based upon the recommendation of the graduate committee with approval of the programme chair and the associate dean for graduate studies

Undergraduate education in computer science or in a related discipline or completion of Post-baccalaureate Undergraduate Certificate in Computer Science is highly preferred

Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or its equivalent.

Required grade point average: For admission to graduate study at VCU, the Graduate School requires an undergraduate GPA of 3.0. or better
