The Agricultural Education degree at Oregon State University is a graduate degree and licensure program with the primary mission to prepare qualified agricultural educators for a variety of roles in education and agriculture.
The department provides a primary source of teachers of agriculture and offers service and leadership to the teaching profession.

Our faculty represent nearly 40 years of combined secondary agriculture teaching experience.

The one-year, 45-credit, master’s degree program combines agricultural content knowledge with practical teaching and learning experiences, in order to prepare teacher candidates to educate secondary agriculture students in formal school-based agriculture programs, as well as non-formal educational programs.
Successful completion of this program results in a Master’s of Science in Agricultural Education and is the only agriculture teacher education program in Oregon leading to teacher licensure with endorsements in CTE and Agriculture.

In addition, program participants will be provided the opportunity to interact and collaborate with preservice and inservice teachers from across the state of Oregon, and connect with the Oregon FFA Association and Oregon Team AgEd, as well as the OSU Collegiate FFA and OSU Agricultural Education clubs.

Oregon State University Certification of Finances Form is required of all applicants, regardless of funding source. This includes applicants that have been granted a Teaching or Research Assistantship.
Supporting documentation, demonstrating sufficient financial resources for the desired academic program. See below for Acceptable Forms of Financial Documentation
