Overview
Key facts
The Anatomical and Translational Sciences program offered by George Washington University will give students an in-depth understanding of human gross anatomy, embryology, functional histology, neuroanatomy, genomic medicine, bioinformatics, systems physiology, pharmacology, pharmacogenomics, and modern stem cell biology. It will also provide students with a solid background in personalized medicine and the methodological aspects of translational research and clinical investigation.
This program is designed to maximize their academic and career opportunities by enhancing competitiveness of applications to medical schools, physician assistant programs or advanced graduate degree programs (PhD). The M-ATS program, which is an extension of our existing Graduate Certificate in Anatomical and Translational Sciences (GCATS), has an interdisciplinary curriculum drawing upon the unique strengths and collective expertise of three departments of the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences: Anatomy and Regenerative Biology; Pharmacology and Physiology; and Clinical Research and Leadership.
