The UC Davis Masters program in International Agricultural Development (IAD) prepares students for careers in global agricultural and rural development. This interdisciplinary program is designed to provide students with knowledge and skills that enable them to implement, facilitate and manage programs that enhance agricultural development and rural life. Students are prepared to accomplish diverse improvements, facilitate innovation in agricultural, natural, social and economic systems, and make a meaningful difference in the world..

    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00. Academic Requirements

IAD admission decisions are based on the candidate’s entire application package, including academic degree(s), transcripts (prior academic performance), statement of purpose and personal statement, relevant experience, Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores, letters of reference, as well as  room in the program. Applicants are expected to demonstrate a commitment to international agricultural development through their work and/or volunteer experience.

International applicants must provide a TOEFL test score.  The minimum required scores are 80 for the Internet based exam, and 550 for the paper-based exam. Computer-based scores are not accepted.

UC Davis requires a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0.

There are no minimum scores required for the GRE.
