These credits will be recognised in their own right for postgraduate level credits or may be put towards gaining a higher award such as a PgCert.

General requirements

  • A UK 2:1 honours degree, or its international equivalent, or a medical degree (MBChB or equivalent), with evidence of quantitative and programming skills.
  • Applicants need to have SQA Higher or GCE A-level Mathematics equivalent, and preferably some maths classes taken at undergraduate level and some experience of computer programming (e.g. C, Fortran, Java, Python, R). Please note that basic web-based programming (PHP, JavaScript, HTML) is not sufficient.
  • Relevant work experience may be considered.
