Description
Marshall Scholarships are available to finance young US citizens of high ability to study in the UK.
Benefits
The scholarships are tenable for two academic years (22 months), a limited number of one academic year scholarships are available, and cover tuition fees, a living allowance, some study expenses and fares to and from the US. Up to 50 scholarships are awarded annually.
Eligibility
- Be citizens of the United States of America (at the time they apply for a scholarship);
- (By the time they take up their scholarship i.e. September) hold their first undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year college or university in the United States;
- Have obtained a grade point average of not less than 3.7 on their undergraduate degree at the time of application. We do not accept rounded GPA’s.
- Have graduated from their first undergraduate college
- Not have studied for, or hold a degree or degree-equivalent qualification from a British University or GCSE or A Levels taken at school in the UK.

The deadlines for the Marshall Competition are: 16 September for applicants and recommenders at 5:00pm in the time zone of your endorsing instution and 18 September for endorsement and submission by the US Institution at 5:00pm in the time zone of the endorsing instution.
