General requirements

  • To apply, use the Admissions office online form. Check Bioinformatics as your major.
  • Most students, and all international students, are admitted for fall; spring semester admissions are considered only for U.S. students.
  • Applicants may be admitted to the program with four-year undergraduate degrees in science, mathematics, computing or engineering. Applicants with 3-year undergraduate degrees should complete a 2-year MS program to be eligible for graduate admission at Georgia Tech.
  • Applicants are expected to have taken the general GRE and should have a verbal score in the 60% rank or better (verbal score > 153) and a quantitative score in the 70% rank or better (quantitative score > 158).
