Key facts

Broadly defined, this study strives to find the perfect relationship between humans and computers. HCI goes beyond computation and screen interface in order to predict new situations that can be facilitated with computers.

In the Human-Computer Interaction program at Georgia Institute of Technology, students will be interacting with peers and faculty from these four Schools and other specializations with the intent of providing a broad base of knowledge and experience that is essential for moving into the field of HCI practice.

The curriculum of the Master of Science in Human-Computer Interaction is built around a four-semester, 36 credit-hour course of study. A set of core courses is required of all students; this is supplemented by a specialized core within the Industrial Design program plus a broad range of electives from the four Schools involved in the HCI Program.
