The Kinesiology program at University of Virginia fosters innovation and diversity across many dimensions and prepares our students to engage in projects that address the needs of our increasingly complex and diverse society.

There are two concentrations of study for the M.Ed. in Kinesiology degree:

Exercise Physiology (2 year program)
Kinesiology for Individuals with Disabilities (1 year program)

General requirements

The M.Ed in Kinesiology is open to applicants who have already obtained an undergraduate degree. The program is typically completed in 4 semesters.
For applicants enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at UVA at the time of submission: SAT or ACT scores may be submitted. Applicants who had SAT or ACT scores sent to the university previously do not need to have them re-sent.
Applicants must exhibit a high standard of achievement during their undergraduate work (minimum of 3.0 GPA) and 2 outstanding letters of recommendation to be uploaded to the online application.
