Gender Studies
The Master of Gender Studies degree at the Memorial University of Newfoundland allows students to critically examine – at an advanced level – how gender shapes our identities, our social interactions and our world.
Anthropology
At the graduate level we offer a coursework-based MA program in Anthropology at Memorial University of Newfoundland. We also offer a one-year graduate diploma which does not require research.

Counselling Psychology
The Faculty of Counselling Psychology at Memorial University of Newfoundland is responsible for the professional preparation of those who will give leadership in education. This includes the professional preparation of teachers, administrators, and specialists who will work in primary, elementary, and secondary schools, and post-secondary institutions.
Geography
Geography has been taught at the Memorial University of Newfoundland since 1946 and was raised to the status of full department in 1960. Graduate studies began in 1970 with the MA and MSc, and the PhD was added in 1992.
Folklore
The only Anglophone university in Canada to offer comprehensive Folklore programs at all levels, the Memorial University of Newfoundland is also a vital part of its community - one steeped in unique lifestyles and traditions, and where the study and celebration of culture and heritage is considered crucial.
Employment Relations
At the Memorial University of Newfoundland, the Master of Employment Relations (MER) program is offered jointly by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Business Administration.
